Nakamura Stainless, a well-respected manufacturer and supplier based in Pulau Ujong, Singapore, specializes in providing top-notch stainless steel welding consumables tailored for demanding industries. The AWS Class ER317L MIG and TIG Filler Welding Wire and Rod is specifically crafted for welding molybdenum-alloyed stainless steels, where exceptional corrosion resistance is a must. Thanks to its low-carbon formulation, ER317L effectively reduces carbide precipitation, which boosts its resistance to intergranular corrosion during the welding process. With a high molybdenum content, it excels in resisting pitting, crevice corrosion, and harsh chemical environments. Renowned globally, these filler wires and rods ensure remarkable weld quality, durability, and reliability for critical fabrication and repair tasks across various sectors.
AWS Class ER317L MIG and TIG Filler Welding Wire and Rod generally comprises 18–20% chromium, 12–14% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum, all while maintaining a low carbon content to enhance weld resistance against intergranular corrosion. The elevated molybdenum levels significantly improve resistance to chlorides and reducing acids. In terms of mechanical properties, it boasts high tensile and yield strength, outstanding ductility, and good toughness, even at elevated service temperatures. Additionally, the alloy shows impressive resistance to oxidation and scaling. These characteristics make ER317L a reliable option for fabricating components that face aggressive chemical and chloride-rich environments.
