Stainless steel 348H flanges are made from an austenitic stainless steel alloy that contains about 17-19% chromium, 9-13% nickel, and niobium (columbium) for stabilization. These flanges have a tensile strength of about 550-750 megapascals and maintain their structural integrity at temperatures above 800°C.
