Nakamura Stainless, a well-respected manufacturer and supplier based in Pulau Ujong, Singapore, provides a wide array of stainless steel welding consumables tailored for industrial use. The AWS Class ER316/316L SAW Wire and Flux is specifically designed for submerged arc welding of stainless steels that contain molybdenum. It offers outstanding corrosion resistance, particularly against chlorides, reducing acids, and pitting conditions. The low-carbon “L” variant enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion, ensuring top-notch weld integrity even in harsh environments. Crafted with precision, these wires and flux combinations promise smooth welds, high deposition rates, and reliable performance for critical fabrication and repair tasks.
The AWS Class ER316/316L SAW Wire and Flux is made up of 18–20% chromium, 11–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, along with carefully controlled amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon. The molybdenum content boosts resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, while the low-carbon ER316L grade helps reduce carbide precipitation, improving resistance to intergranular corrosion. Its mechanical properties include high tensile strength, excellent ductility, and toughness, along with oxidation resistance up to 870°C. When paired with the right flux, it ensures a smooth bead appearance, deep penetration, and crack-free welds, making it a dependable choice for demanding structural and process applications.
