Nakamura Stainless in Pulau Ujong, Singapore, provides AWS Class ER308/308H SAW and FLUX wires designed for stainless steel welding applications that require high-temperature strength. The “H” grade has a higher carbon content that improves creep resistance and stability during prolonged exposure to high temperatures. These wires are known for their excellent arc stability, smooth bead formation, and consistent weld quality in submerged arc welding processes. Manufactured under strict quality standards, ER308/308H wires are highly reliable for industries like petrochemical, power generation, and refineries, where components face both thermal stress and corrosive environments.
AWS Class ER308/308H SAW and FLUX wires contain 18–21% chromium and 9–11% nickel, with carbon content between 0.04–0.08% for the “H” grade. This increased carbon enhances creep strength and high-temperature performance. Weld deposits provide tensile strength of about 570 MPa and elongation of 28–32%. They also show excellent resistance to oxidation and scaling during thermal cycling. These wires maintain smooth, stable arc performance and consistent weld quality, ensuring strength and durability in stainless steel components exposed to high temperatures and corrosive conditions.
