Stainless Steel 904L Sheet and Plates contain high levels of chromium (19–23%), nickel (23–28%), molybdenum (4–5%), and small amounts of copper and carbon. This mix offers excellent resistance to strong reducing acids and chloride stress corrosion. Mechanically, they have a minimum tensile strength of 490 MPa, yield strength of 220 MPa, and elongation of 35%. The alloy keeps its strength and formability in aggressive chemical environments, making it great for fabrication and welding. Its non-magnetic nature and structural stability improve its use in critical applications.
