Nakamura Stainless, based in Pulau Ujong, Singapore, stands out as a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality stainless steel products and welding consumables. One of their standout products, the AWS Class E316/316L-16 Electrodes, is well-known for its impressive corrosion resistance, low carbon content, and dependable performance even in tough conditions. These electrodes are crafted to create exceptional welds while minimizing the risk of carbide precipitation, making them perfect for critical applications. With a strong focus on quality control, technical know-how, and timely delivery, Nakamura Stainless caters to various industries, including petrochemical, marine, food processing, and power generation, both in Singapore and around the world, providing reliable, high-performance solutions.
The AWS Class E316/316L-16 Electrodes are composed of chromium (18–20%), nickel (11–14%), and molybdenum (2–3%), which together offer outstanding resistance to corrosion and pitting. The low carbon content in 316L helps to reduce carbide precipitation during welding, boosting intergranular corrosion resistance. These electrodes deliver a tensile strength of about 550–620 MPa, along with high ductility and toughness, ensuring they maintain strength even at elevated temperatures. They create smooth weld beads with minimal spatter, stable arcs, and excellent weldability. This blend of alloying elements and mechanical properties makes them perfect for welding stainless steel components that face harsh environments or corrosive conditions.
