AWS Class E309LMo-16 Electrodes contain 22-24% chromium, 12-14% nickel, and 2-3% molybdenum, with low carbon (maximum 0.04%). This specific composition improves resistance to intergranular corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion. Weld deposits have a tensile strength of about 600 MPa and elongation of 30-35%. The molybdenum enhances mechanical performance in chloride environments, ensuring a long service life. These electrodes offer excellent toughness, oxidation resistance, and weldability, making them ideal for joining different steels and cladding tasks in challenging industrial applications.
AWS Class E309LMo-16 Electrodes are composed primarily of iron with chromium (22-25%), nickel (12-14%), and small amounts of molybdenum (0.75%). The presence of molybdenum enhances corrosion resistance, especially in acidic and high-temperature environments. These electrodes offer excellent weldability, high strength and resistance to oxidation and corrosion. They are ideal for welding dissimilar metals, offering superior joint integrity, reduced cracking, and good toughness. E309LMo-16 electrodes are commonly used in industries requiring robust, high-performance welds, such as chemical processing and power plants.
