Nakamura Stainless, a reliable manufacturer and supplier in Pulau Ujong, Singapore, offers AWS Class E309/309H-16 Electrodes designed for tough stainless steel welding tasks. The “H” grade features a higher carbon content, which improves creep strength at high temperatures, making these electrodes ideal for high-stress environments. They are known for their stable arc, easy slag removal, and strong mechanical performance, making them popular in industries that need durability and resistance to corrosion. Nakamura Stainless meets international quality standards, providing welding materials suitable for joining different types of steel and for use in high-temperature conditions.
AWS Class E309/309H-16 Electrodes contain 22–24% chromium and 12–14% nickel, with iron as the base. The “H” grade has a higher carbon content (0.04–0.08%), which improves creep resistance under high-temperature conditions. Weld deposits have a tensile strength of around 600 MPa and exhibit elongation of 30–35%. These electrodes also show strong resistance to oxidation, corrosion, and thermal cycling. Their mechanical properties ensure durability, toughness, and reliability, making them effective for welding different metals and for components exposed to high heat and corrosive environments.

Designed for welding stainless steel to mild steel or other stainless steel types, these electrodes offer high corrosion resistance. Typically available in sizes like 3/32″ to 1/8″ diameter, they provide excellent weld quality with minimal spatter.
These electrodes are ideal for general-purpose welding, offering good corrosion resistance for stainless steel applications. Sizes usually range from 1/8″ to 3/16″ in diameter, and they ensure smooth welding with light flux coatings for improved visibility and control.
Suitable for heavy-duty welding tasks, these electrodes enhance corrosion resistance and are used for thick stainless steel sections. Common sizes include 5/32″ to 1/4″ diameter, featuring a thicker coating for robust and stable arc performance.

All orders are accompanied by all the necessary documents, such as a commercial invoice, packing list, fumigation certificate, heat treatment chart, and NABL-approved lab test report. We provide Material Test Certificate as per EN 10204/3.1b, PMI Test Certificate, 100% radiography test report, and Third-Party Inspection Certificate. Our comprehensive documentation is organized for maximum client satisfaction.
AWS Class E309/309H-16 Electrodes are commonly used for welding different kinds of steels, such as stainless steels to carbon or low-alloy steels. They are also used in buffer layers and cladding processes to improve corrosion resistance for carbon steel equipment. The “H” grade is particularly suitable for high-temperature applications like boilers, furnaces, and pressure vessels. Industries such as petrochemical, power generation, and chemical processing depend on these electrodes for their strength, durability, and resistance to heat and corrosion, ensuring long-lasting welds for critical needs.
