Nakamura Stainless, located in Pulau Ujong, Singapore, offers AWS Class E309/309L-16 Electrodes for joining different types of steel and for cladding. With low carbon content, these electrodes reduce carbide precipitation, which enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion. They provide smooth arc stability, easy slag removal, and neat weld bead finishes, making them highly efficient for critical fabrication. Nakamura Stainless meets strict quality standards, supplying durable and reliable welding consumables. These electrodes are widely used in chemical, petrochemical, and marine industries where strength and corrosion resistance are vital for long-term service.
AWS Class E309/309L-16 Electrodes consist of 22-24% chromium, 12-14% nickel, and low carbon (maximum 0.04% for the “L” grade). This mixture offers excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance. Weld deposits show a tensile strength of about 600 MPa and elongation of 30-35%. The low carbon content minimizes the risk of sensitization and intergranular corrosion. Mechanical properties include good toughness and durability for both high-stress and high-temperature applications. These electrodes ensure consistent and strong welds for various dissimilar steel and overlay tasks.
